W.O.M.B - The Worst Out of My Best (Cranbrook Art Museum) is an art installation about perception—about how people perceive themselves and others depending on the context. W.O.M.B is part of an ongoing research on stereotypes and prejudices, whether of sex, race or religion, as a way to spark conversations on single-sided stories and ways to break and avoid them.
This project also reflects my love for cross-discipline practice. I used black French Paper on which I screen printed my pattern with silver ink for the wallpaper. The frame was laser-etched, built and then airbrushed in matte black. The portrait was printed digitally, mounted and then covered with clear resin. This last process enables to maximize the contrast and depth to the image. It also gets rid of any reflections.
